    Dead Fantasy

Dead Fantasy and Dead Fantasy II are now at gametrailers.com in HD. They have the option to download as well :)

    Power Switches

When you have bad wiring, it's really hard to go back and figure out what exactly is going on with the "situation." All I know is there's one wire providing power, and it needs to go to two switches and power up 2 outlets. So the first switch is no problem. The other switch and outlets need to piggyback off of it, so I'm assuming a bridge needs to be made. Check. I tried connecting it to the power wire and it sparked. I tried connecting it to the negative wire and it still sparked. I must have flipped the fuse at least 10 times with no luck. Time to find a better switch..I think it might be a matter of a 3-way switch as opposed to the normal one. I'm no expert though, so it's all trial and error.  By the way, all the wires are black, so you can't tell one from another..go figure. Thinking

    Workout Progress

I've made some progress with the workout. Before I was averaging 20-21 min per mile. I've dropped that down to about 16min a mile without fatigue. I can do about 2 miles, along with a few more on other machines. I don't think I'm losing any weight yet, but it feels good to sweat it out.
Laker game yesterday was pretty bad, but Ghost Hunters episode was good. The picture frame moved, in my opinion, towards the rocking chair which could possibly mean someone was sitting in the chair. I was hoping they would use the IR camera on it instead of a standard digicam. Probably would have gotten a heat signature. These episodes are certainly getting better.

Currently uploading photos. Almost done :)

    Tuesday

Ate at Panera Bread for lunch and cooked fried rice for dinner :) Finally got around to putting more songs on my iPod. I have a few photos to take tomorrow and I'll post the pictures for sure. Today the turtles spared the fish and willingly ate only the turtle bites. The guppies live to see another day. Sleepy... Is it really 4AM already?

    Take a Number...

Sometimes being stuck at home waiting is just as bad as waiting in line at the post office. Not that I have anywhere particularly important that I need to go to, but it still sucks. I woke up at 8AM this morning because the exterminators were supposed to come for the termite problem. Right now it's 12 noon and they are still a no-show. I don't want to leave to go anywhere either, just in case they do show up. If I miss them today, it'll be a weekend of bugfest that I won't be able to fend off. Yesterday I successfully fended off the intrusion with the Dyson and a can of termite killer, but what about tonight? Tomorrow? x_O!!

Anyways, because I'm stuck here I took photos of the MBP so those will be up soon enough.
Some things I have come to dislike as of late: false advertising (why doesn't my burger look like the ones in commercials at all at all? So bad that filming a commercial with my actual burger would be harming their decent reputation), termites (eating my home), punk kids (thinking smoking = badass), bad customer service (I can deal with "not good" or ok), the bureaucratic system of UCs (hiding the already fine print). "Even if you don't want chili fries with it, too bad.."I mean, good, because you definitely won't get them with chili spread like a thin layer of jam.

    Madness!

No, I'm not talking about March Madness... My apartment, for a third time is infested with termites. This time it is downstairs in the living room. A while back, my living room was flooded by a pipe burst under the concrete that soaked the large wall. Portions of it was replaced while other parts were left to dry out with a turbo fan. Well, I "thought" everything was good. I mean, we got an air purifier to get rid of smells and everything seemed ok. 2 days ago I saw a termite crawling up the wall and quickly killed it. It made me suspicious though...Where did it come from? The old location in the hallway? Nope, not there. I moved the table in the living room aside and low and behold where a new piece of drywall was put in (almost exactly where the pipe burst was) is 2 holes in the wall. Upon spraying termite foam to kill them, I found that the holes connected from behind. The first night no more termites came out. Yesterday new ones came out but not from the hole. They started coming through along the bottom edge of the wall (roughly 7 feet spread). It bugs me, literally. Need to have management take care of it soon...

Bright side of yesterday. I unloaded a few books except for the ones that have "new editions." Hah, what a joke. But anyways, I headed out towards Cabazon Outlets where I bought new socks from Puma, basketball shorts and shirt from Adidas, and a jacket from Columbia. Wait, that's it? Hehe, yeah. I'm not a big shopper after all, but it's not like I'm walking around naked. Still need some clothes. What I like best about going isn't for the shopping but for a few other reasons. 1) The drive past the orange groves and mountains on the way there and back (minus the bug guts; I had to throw away two towels upon wiping down my front end) 2) The signs "Winding Roads ahead" and "70 MPH speed limit" allow for a more spirited drive 3) Walking around in an outdoors shopping area feels less like a shopping experience but more like a walk in the park, especially with the breezy wind. I didn't buy much, but it is still nice to find good deals. Puma shoes were about $20 less than retail and were buy one get one half off. I was going to buy some but considering I have too many shoes as of late, I had to pass. I was going to buy a zip up sweater from Geoffrey Beane but they ran out of sizes except XXL. I was also going to buy the Nike+iPod sport kit since I've been running, but figured I'd do some reading on it first. Good thing I didn't but it because it doesn't work with the iPod Touch, at least not yet. I'll have some photos of the drive and of Cabazon up shortly, I haven't even looked at them on the big screen but hopefully scenery can be seen behind all the bug guts on my windshield.

    Kerplunk!

The sound of my 6 points as it tanks. Of all the things to miss, a damn fraction. 2px/3 + px = 3px/3? argh! NO! It's not..it's 2/3+3/3= 5px/3. Baka desu~ x_x. Oh well, it has passed. Dumbest mistake you can make on an impossibly hard test. I need an A in the class for to get a strut bar though. Please, oh please. Monday marks the last class of forevers in my undergrad life (technically it was Friday, but exams count I suppose).

    PK'd

Aiya, I'm so PK'd for tomorrow. I get a study guide the day prior to the exam for an exam that's 70+ questions with 1hr 20min to finish (obviously we won't start on time either). I managed to skim-read the book and post-it areas I though were important, but after getting the guide, it seems like a lot of it was futile. Some of it isn't even in the book; at least not in my edition of it. Tomorrow will be a long day studying again, as if today weren't enough.

Then I got more studying after Thur's exam for Friday. Then the econ final on Monday. I'll try to post again soon, but might not have time to in the next few days.

    Monday

Today is the beginning of my "reform". I ran a mile and road a bike for an additional mile. I'm hooked up to the internet thingamajig for the bike where I can race others and have my miles logged, but I'm not too sure how it works. The bike is tiring though! Even more so than running. On top of all that, I did 80 reps of 40lbs to work my triceps and 60 reps of 50lbs to work my biceps.

I got my black iSkin keyboard cover today from the management's office, which came while I was gone on Saturday. "What iSkin cover?" you might ask. Hehe, I guess the secret is out then. I got the new MacBook Pro so that I can become more productive. Old softwares are holding me back from making better designs. I'll have pics up for it soon, once I take them of course. I haven't hit the monthly limit and hope not to anymore unless I go on a long trip, so it's safe to say the photos will be updated regularly again. After all, 500 photos is a lot (to edit, to upload, and to view).

So the Lakers lost yesterday. Not a big deal to me. Phil Jackson is much smarter than the other coaches because he understands the game of runs in a wider scope. Other teams such as Houston and Spurs are going on long win streaks, but once their momentum breaks, it'll be much harder for them to start another streak. A loss is good for the Lakers because it gives Phil a chance to coach them; point out some mistakes that are being made. A couple losses now will ensure us another chance at building momentum into the playoffs. The other teams' runs are starting too early and will die off before the playoffs start. I think the Suns may become a threat soon too, once O'Neal gets into the flow of their new offense. Better watch out for them down the road. So far, I like how things are going. Kobe needs to watch his T's though. Another technical and he's out for a game. Maybe he should get another one on purpose, so it doesn't happen in the playoffs since we all know how heated things will get then between players.

    Painted Wheels

Spent Saturday morning prepping the wheels to paint. It was 73-76 degrees today, which was perfect (minus the random gusts of wind) for spray painting. The wheels went through 3 washes, wax remover, scuffing and sanding, 2 coats of primer, 2 thin base coats, 6 base coats, 4 coats of gloss, and some rubbing compound. I'll have to use more rubbing compound next weekend to make sure it gets a good shine.

This entry is a bit late, but World's Best (recipe) homemade lasagna needs a good review:
Although it took about 4-5 hours to prep, the final taste test proved to be worth the time. 4 layers of meaty goodness with cheeses sprinkled from the heavens. Each bite has an explosion of four flavors, taking your taste buds into uncharted territory as if your tongue were to furl on its own in an attempt to encapsulate an additional drip or two of the meat sauce made from scratch and never let go of its essence. This lasagna is good enough to eat two pieces a meal for 4 meals straight. I give it a 4 1/2 stars out of 5, with the only drawback being the top layer was too hard and more cheese could have been added. The good thing about an imperfect score is that it can be made again and be improved upon. Photos available under "Edibles"

And Finally! new photo updates driven, room, other shots, stuff, figures, and edibles.
    * I wish that when uploading photos, the newer stuff can be put up top. Is there a way to do that? Am I missing something? The only way I can organize it is to change the number sequences one at a time. After uploading, all the new stuff gets added to the end of the album, which is rather pointless.

    March updates?

I really want to update the blog and add new photos, which are already edited, but I just don't have the time. Argh! Finished the 20 pager over the weekend. Just finished econ homework today. I have a paper and group presentation due on Friday. A virtual group quiz on Thursday. A case study due next Tuesday, as well as a bunch of other things. o_O!! Tired? Oh yes. With gas prices rising so high, I don't even have a chance to refuel.

Side note: Been cooking a lot at home. Not junk food either. Turtles were also moved into the old frog tank which is much larger than what they were in before.
